Day 1: Delhi Palam Airport - Jolly Grant Airport- Sahastradara Helipad to Yamunotri and GangotriKedarnath Camp Gupt Kashi
Yamunotri : Perched at the height of 3,235 meters above the sea level, the sacred shrine of Yamunotri is the important pilgrimage site in India. Dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna it is the first stop over for the for the Chardham Yatra to the Himalayas. Yamunotri is the source of venerable Yamuna river which originates from the Champasar Glacier lying 1 kms , ahead of the shrine on the Kalinda Parvat. The major attraction of Yamunotri is the temple dedicated Goddess Yamuna, which was built by the Maharani Gularia of Jaipur in the 19th century. It is really difficult to reach this spot therefore the pilgrims perform pooja at the temple itself.
Gangotri : The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3048 meters at the Himalayas, where Ganga, the stream of life, touched the ground for the first time. The temple here is dedicated to Goddess Durga, which was built 250 years ago by Amar Bahadur Thapa, the Gorkha Commander, on the left bank of the Bhagirathi. The area is dotted by numerous ashrams which provide accommodation facilities to the tourists. You will certainly feel the real excitement when everyone would be moving with you in the same direction for the fulfillment of same goal to get the blessings of the god. Near to this holy shrine is the Gaumukh glacier where every pilgrim coming to this place take a dip without fail.
Day 2: Kedarnath and Badrinath and back to Dehradun and Palam Airport in delhi
Kedarnath : Amidst the magnificent landscape of the majestic Kedarnath range is the one of the twelve Jyotrilingyas of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath is one of the other name of Lord Shiva. Located at an altitude of 3581 meters, the sacred Kedarnath temple, is surrounded by the lofty snow covered peaks. It was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD.In order to reach the shrine one has to trek 14 km from Gaurikund. Apart from the main Kedarnath temple there are four other shrines in the place together called as Panch Kedar.
Badrinath : Guarded by twin mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan, Badrinath is located in the at an altitude of 3,133 meters, on the bank of Alaknanda. Considered to be most pious among the other Hindu shrines -Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri, it is must on the itinerary of every Hindu devour. The temple built in the shape of cone is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The main attractions of the temple is the one meter high image of Sri Badrinath exclusively sculptured in black stone.
